What is Educational Technology?
Educational Technology - also known variously as e-learning, instructional technology and learning technology - is the use of technology to support the learning process. Although the term can refer to all kinds of analogue technologies, eg photographs, film, video, audio recordings etc, it is usually used to talk specifically about digital computer technology.
Although technology is widely used in the administration and management of education (eg student records, marketing, procurement, finance etc etc) and in research, educational technology is only concerned with technology as it impacts upon the learning process, eg in delivering learning materials, faciliating communication and providing assessment and feedback.
Technology can benefit both traditional (ie face-to-face) and open and distance learning models. And perhaps it makes it easier to combine different models to provide a blended learning experience tailored to the individual's needs.

WEEK 2
Today was the examination in which if we pssed with a percentage of 70 and over we automatically get 10% added to our grade..........isn't this great. To our dismay, the internet chose today to slow down and cut off ceaselessly.......Dr. Douglas told us to forget about it and we would do it the next class. We continued talking about the details of using the internet........Some individuals including myself still tried to get the examination done. we succeeded and then everyone else began doing the exams again. I got 87% which i thought was excellent for me.

Week 1
Educational Technology................The first day of Ed. Tech. as I may call it was exciting.....At first we did not know who our lecturer was and we were just in the lobby just chilling, watching the different lecturers pass wondering if any one of them were our lecturer. Not knowing that there was another doorway to Room K111 we were waiting on the wrong side. Later on, another lecturer came and showed us where we had to go.............to our surprise our lecturer was not there yet..........We got settled in and then Dr. Lionel Douglas entered the lab and informed us that he was going to be our lecturer for this semester...... Dr. Douglas seems to be a really cool and interesting lecturer to have so far.....I really hope to enjoy this class this semester........
